Question: For both audio and visual technologies, identify one traditional and one emerging technology from the book, and explain how you could potentially use all four devices in the classroom.
A traditional audio technology used in the classroom is the audiotape, specifically the audio book or "talking book." This can be used in the classroom when young children, perhaps the kindergarten level, are present. The talking book can read the pages to them, helping them to see how certain words are spelled and pronounced to enhance their literacy.
An emerging audio technology used in the classroom is internet audio. This is very helpful in the classroom, as teachers can search for audio clips of books, speeches, or interviews to help the learner better understand the material at hand. Internet audio also has a much larger collection of clips than a teacher generally has physically.
A traditional visual technology used in the classroom is the nonprojected visual. This can be used in the classrooms of schools that are unable to afford higher-end technologies such as projectors. Nonprojected visuals allow students to put images with what they are learning about and, in some instances, help them understand the era they are learning about in subjects such as history.
An emerging visual technology used in the classroom is the document camera. This can be used in the classroom to project a physical copy of a document onto a larger screen for students in the classroom. With this device, teachers can project large images of small print or pictures that they cannot find larger copies of, allowing them to adhere to their lesson plans, without having to search for something which they already possess.

Response to Chapter 6
Question: Based on the information in chapter 6, would you prefer to teach in a classroom that had more or less digital technologies? Why or why not?
Based on this information, I would prefer to teach in a class that has more technology. I am very technologically adept so I feel that I could use these technologies to enhance the learning experience. One technology that is quite useful is the LCD projector. The book discusses how these projectors can be used to "project both images and video from a computer and video source in a display that is large enough and bright enough to be seen across a classroom." This can be used to display PowerPoint presentations, short clips and videos related to the subject, and many other things. This, along with many emerging technologies seen today, would make a technologically-sound classroom the ideal teaching environment.

All About Me
Didn't know we had to do an "About Me" post. Here goes:
My name is Corey Stearns, but pretty much everyone calls me Chuck. Don't ask. I'm a sophomore at BGSU, originally from Sandusky, Ohio. Where Cedar Point is. No, it's not that fun living by it. Anyways, I'm an AYA Math Education major, which is why I'm in this Education Technology class. I'm hoping to get my degree in four years but, let's be real for a second, that probably won't happen. I'm not gonna talk about my interests because that's kinda boring, but I will say that I love music. All kinds. Besides country... So yeah, that's me in a nutshell. Oh, one more thing, here's an adorable picture of me from my youth ---------->
